Story about dancing in communication with a Generator. Would you like to read it?
Recently, I received a voice memo from a Generator friend. She asked me why I had started the Human Design experiment. I felt invited to share, but I wasn’t sure whether the question was coming from her or from her mind. To check in with her, I sent a voice memo back with a closed question: “Do you want to hear why I started experimenting?”
I received a grateful voice memo in return. She was so happy that I had asked her this closed question. She had an uh-hun (no) to my question, and so it wasn’t correct for her to listen to the reason behind my experiments. I didn’t feel rejected at all, quite the opposite. It brought me a feeling of success. I had honored and respected her by checking in first to see whether she was open and had the energy to listen to me.
Stopping the talking and checking in with each other first is, to me, the ultimate form of respect. There is no resistance in the communication, there is only flow.
